Buy Term & Invest The Difference Versus Whole Life

This is the classic illustration of “Buy Term and Invest the Difference”. The template compares a term insurance contract to a Whole Life (WL) contract. The purpose of this spreadsheet is to illustrate the advantage of tax sheltered accumulation over a period of time as opposed to annual tax reporting for many other investments. The program allows various rates of interest and for taxation to be factored into the equation. The Marginal Tax rate shown is linked to the Data.xls file or it can be overridden on the template.
